“MasterClass is the premium end of online learning: 200-plus classes taught by the actual names, filmed like Netflix documentaries with cinema-grade cameras and original scoring. Reviewers consistently praise the production and the caliber of instructors, and if you watch fifteen or more classes a year the $120 Standard plan works out below ten dollars a class. Two honest caveats. First, it is designed for inspiration, not accountability: there are no quizzes, exercises, graded feedback, or STEM depth, so watching is not the same as finishing something. Second, and more practically, every plan is billed a full year upfront and renews a year later at list price. That annual renewal is by far the most common complaint about the service, and the 30-day satisfaction guarantee only covers your very first purchase, not the renewal. Subscribe if you will genuinely watch a lot, then track the renewal here so we can send a reminder before the annual renewal, so nothing surprises you.”
