The whole catalog, graded

The Exit Index

Why do we exist? Because someone has to keep score.

How hard is it to actually cancel, really? We put every brand in our catalog through one test and handed out a single grade, A to F, for exactly one thing: the exit. Loving a product and dreading its cancel button are not mutually exclusive, we have graded plenty of both. Here are all 169, receipts included.

Where the friction concentrates. Easy means an A or B (cancel yourself online); hard means a D or F (a call, a chat, a maze, or a documented finding).

Noteworthy

Both ends of the spectrum, same rule applied without favor: it is about the exit, not the product.

Exit grade A

Out whenever you feel like it

A click, maybe two, and you're free. No phone tag, no maze, no plot twist. These are the brands that make breakups look easy.

Exit grade B

Easy online, small catch

Still self-serve online, with a step or a single retention offer to click past.

Exit grade C

A bit of a scavenger hunt

The cancel button exists. Somewhere. Behind a menu, across three screens, in a confirmation maze that seems to enjoy your company.

Exit grade D

Bring snacks, you're on hold

Phone call or live chat required, a retention pitch that won't take the hint, or a cancel button playing hide and seek on purpose. Track these before you sign up, future you will send flowers.

Exit grade F

A documented finding

Reserved for brands a regulator (the FTC or a state Attorney General) has formally acted against over cancellation or billing, or a flow that is outright deceptive. Not our opinion. The public record.

Tell us what to grade next. Most-requested brands jump the line, and if you leave an email, we will tell you the moment yours is graded.

The grade rates cancellation, not quality, and every grade shows its reason. Flows change, so we recheck brands as part of our weekly subscription-news sweep. Spot one that has changed? Browse the step-by-step cancel guides.
