How to cancel myFICO

Takes about 15 minutes

No self-serve online cancel: you have to call to close the account.

Steps to cancel myFICO

  1. 1Log in to myFICO and open the My Subscriptions page (or the Subscription screen under the More tab in the iOS or Android app).
  2. 2Select your active subscription and choose to cancel; you can also pause billing here instead.
  3. 3Work through the retention prompts and confirm the cancellation.
  4. 4If the online cancel does not go through, call customer service at 1-800-319-4433 (Mon-Fri 6am-6pm PT, Sat 7am-4pm PT) and ask them to cancel. Cancel before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.

Don’t get caught out next time

Track myFICO and your other subscriptions here, and a reminder arrives before each renewal, so you decide to keep or cancel on your terms, never by accident.

A 30-day trial is unusually generous in this category, and it's worth using if you just had a breach or are about to apply for a mortgage. But this is the textbook "trial isn't the trap — the renewal is" service. Turn off auto-renew the day you sign up; the cancellation page is buried two menus deep.

Rosetta Stone is the elder statesman of language learning: a proven immersion method, TruAccent pronunciation feedback, and a catalog of about two dozen languages, with a legacy of strong reviews including a past PCMag Editors' Choice. The thing to get straight before you buy is which product you are buying, because they behave very differently. The 3-month and 12-month plans are subscriptions that renew on their own, and they typically renew at the standard rate rather than the promotional price you signed up at. The Lifetime license is a one-time payment that never renews and covers every language. Most of the frustration you will read about online comes from the first case being mistaken for the second: a plan renewing when someone thought it was a one-off, or renewing higher than expected. That is exactly the gap a reminder closes. Track your plan here and, if it is one that renews, we send a heads-up before the renewal date, so nothing surprises you.
