Steps to cancel Headspace

  1. 1First check where you signed up, because that decides where you cancel.
  2. 2If you subscribed directly at Headspace, go to headspace.com/subscription/manage and select Cancel Membership.
  3. 3If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, cancel in iPhone Settings under your name, then Subscriptions, then Headspace; canceling inside the Headspace app will not stop an Apple charge.
  4. 4If you subscribed through Google Play, open the Play Store, then Subscriptions, then Headspace, then Cancel.
  5. 5Cancel before the renewal date; your access continues until the current term ends.

Don’t get caught out next time

Hims is the poster child for "intro price is not the price." The $39 weight-loss month becomes a $149/mo membership — and as of mid-2026 the medication is billed separately on top, so the true monthly cost lands closer to $300–$450. The mental health offer looks like $49/mo but you're actually authorizing $147 in one charge, every 90 days. Cancel two days before renewal or lose a full quarter — the math punishes anyone who forgets.

The $10–$25/mo headline is real, but Planet Fitness is the textbook anti-pattern TMC exists to warn about. The annual fee is the gotcha most people forget, and the certified-mail cancellation is genuinely the worst in fitness — we've seen people pay $25/mo for two years because they "kept meaning to drive over." If you're going to join, set a calendar alert four months out for the annual fee, and only ever sign up at the location you actually live near.
