Steps to cancel Vivint Smart Home
- 1Understand that Vivint monitoring runs on a multi-year agreement (about 42 to 60 months) that auto-renews, so cancellation is not self-serve online.
- 2Call the Vivint cancellation line at 1-800-216-5232 and state that you want to end monitoring service.
- 3An agent emails a Notice of Cancellation for you to sign and return. You can also mail or fax the notice to Vivint's cancellation department if you prefer.
- 4If you still owe a balance on your equipment, that amount is due to close the account. Paying it off lets you cancel with no further penalty.
- 5Keep the signed notice and a written confirmation that the account is closed and billing has stopped.
