How to cancel TurboTax Live
No easy self-serve cancel: expect a retention gauntlet or a phone call to close the account.
Steps to cancel TurboTax Live
- 1TurboTax Live is a per-filing upgrade, so canceling means removing the Live add-on before you pay and before you use the Tax Expert feature.
- 2With your return open, select File (or the menu icon), then continue to the Just a few steps left screen.
- 3Select Start or Revisit next to Step 1: Review Your Order, then on Your order summary choose Remove TurboTax Live (or Downgrade).
- 4If Remove is not shown, or you already used the Tax Expert feature, clear your return and start over in a lower product, as long as you have not paid yet.
- 5Verify your order summary no longer lists the Live charge before you file.

“Skillshare is a deep, project-first library for creative skills: design, illustration, photography, animation, and the freelance business around them, with 30,000-plus classes and hands-on projects that make the learning stick. Its app-store ratings are excellent, around 4.8 on iOS and 4.1 on Android, because people who use it to learn tend to love it. There is one thing worth knowing before you start, and it is the whole reason to track this one here. The website trial runs 7 days, and when it ends it converts to a full year billed up front, about $167.88, rather than a monthly charge you would notice and cancel. That single mechanic, a short trial turning into a year-long commitment, is behind most of the billing complaints on Trustpilot, and it is entirely avoidable with a heads-up at the right moment. Start the trial, learn what you came to learn, and let us send a reminder a couple of days before it converts, so the decision to continue is yours and nothing surprises you.”

“Perfect for a one-off need: an LLC operating agreement, a lease, a power of attorney. Generate every document you need in those 7 days, download the PDFs, then cancel. Set a calendar alert for day 6 — Rocket Lawyer does not warn you before the $39.99 hits on day 8.”

“Rosetta Stone is the elder statesman of language learning: a proven immersion method, TruAccent pronunciation feedback, and a catalog of about two dozen languages, with a legacy of strong reviews including a past PCMag Editors' Choice. The thing to get straight before you buy is which product you are buying, because they behave very differently. The 3-month and 12-month plans are subscriptions that renew on their own, and they typically renew at the standard rate rather than the promotional price you signed up at. The Lifetime license is a one-time payment that never renews and covers every language. Most of the frustration you will read about online comes from the first case being mistaken for the second: a plan renewing when someone thought it was a one-off, or renewing higher than expected. That is exactly the gap a reminder closes. Track your plan here and, if it is one that renews, we send a heads-up before the renewal date, so nothing surprises you.”
